The use of Light Utility Vehicles (LUV) is increasing in rural workplaces due to their usefulness. To fully utilize their potential, it is important to understand their use and operation. Our course on LUV driving focuses on practical training and equips students with driving tips and techniques, as well as knowledge of rules and regulations to ensure workplace safety.
We offer below unit standards:
Beginners Level:
24553 Operate a light utility vehicle (LUV) on flat terrain in the workplace under close supervision - Level 2, 4 Credits.
24556 Demonstrate knowledge of the safe operation of a light utility vehicle - Level 2, 3 Credits.
Advanced Level:
24558 Operate a light utility vehicle (LUV) on rolling terrain under limited supervision - Level 3, 4 Credits.
24560 Operate a light utility vehicle (LUV) with trailed equipment under limited supervision - Level 3, 3 Credits.
24562 Operate a light utility vehicle (LUV) with mounted equipment or a load under limited supervision - Level 3, 3 Credits.
