Digital Citizen

Digital citizen workshop is designed to help individuals develop the skills needed to safely navigate the online world using their own devices. Participants will learn how to communicate effectively online using social media, messaging, text, video, and email. They will also learn how to manage their photos and files on their devices and keep copies safely online. Additionally, participants will learn how to protect themselves online through some tips on cyber security.


The goal is to help individuals develop a unique online identity so they can confidently participate online with family, social media, and businesses. The workshop is available to individuals who wish to attend a public workshop or to groups who want to make it a fun event. The workshop is offered at no cost to participants and is scheduled on a monthly basis. The specific date is determined once the minimum number of participants has been reached.


Duration – 2 days; 9am – 2pm.

Cost – Zero Fees for New Zealand Citizens and Residents.

Venue – Flexible; Katikati, Waihi and Tauranga.

Age – All ages from sixteen to mature learners
