These courses are designed to provide the learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safe handling and storing of food.
This basic introductory course covers various types of food contamination hazards, including chemical and physical risks, prevention of cross-contamination, cleaning and sanitising food or related product production equipment manually and ensuring that the food delivered is of good quality and free from contamination.
Duration – 4 weeks; 3 hours/week.
Cost – Zero Fees for New Zealand Citizens and Residents.
Venue – Flexible - Katikati, Waihi and Tauranga.
Age – All ages from sixteen to mature learners
